Don't miss this month's meeting of the Historic Derby Street
Neighborhood Association.
Guest Speaker Susan Kallmes will be making a presentation on health care
during the time of the Derby family.
Drawing on a number of resources, Ms. Kallmes will discuss the Salem
Witchcraft era from the perspective of 17th century medical beliefs,
perceptions and practice. Learn how doctors viewed disease and find out
some unusual treatments available to the everyday physician in early
America as well as other mysterious cures and diagnoses.
